Dr. Martha Joseph Watts, "Aunty Marcella," is a native of the Commonwealth of Dominica, but currently resides in Brevard Florida. Dr. Watts, a former elementary educator in Dominica, and former English teacher in the United States Virgin Islands, currently serves as an educator with Brevard Public Schools. She is the author of fictional and educational resources. Dr. Watts wrote the Adventures of Iyani series, The Voyage West, The Incredible
Beginning, Meet Iyani coloring book, and The Cause. Her educational series, Writing to Respond process (WTR) include two texts, three workbooks, two wheels and three charts - all geared towards improving textual-based writing in grades K-12 students. Rebecca May Flowers is a freelance theatre-maker and arts administrator. She has directed, choreographed, and devised more than 40 plays and musicals in Florida, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. She is the associate artistic director at Theatre Horizon, a professional theatre company in the Philadelphia region. She graduated with a bachelor of arts in theatre from Florida State University and a master of arts in theatre from the University of Central Florida, where she served as an instructor for Theatre History and Acting for Non-Majors. Anna Leigh Convery has been an educator in dance, music, and theatre for young artists in the South Jersey area since 2010, when she began teaching ballet, tap, and jazz at her local dance studio. Since then, she has been choreographing for musicals in high school theatre programs and spending each summer as a children's theatre camp music director, producing several Jr. musicals such asShrek the Musical, Jr. and High School Musical, Jr. When she is not teaching, Anna works as a dramaturg, and is particularly interested in audience experience and interaction with art. Brittany Mulligan is the associate managing editor for the Hometown News Brevard. She received her bachelor's degree at the University of South Florida, where she studied mass communications and English. As a life-long writer, Brittany is passionate about spreading positivity through her work.
Elizabeth Fullington, a native of Guyana, South America, comes from a family of musicians and followed the tradition of teaching music. She earned her licentiate of music from the Royal Schools of Music, a diploma in choreography and dance from the Kingston Teacher’s College in Georgetown, Guyana, and a BS in education from the University of Guyana. After, migrating to the U.S. , Elizabeth worked in corporate America prior to founding the Ruby Holland School of Music. Retired from teaching piano performance for the past 30 years in the central Florida area, Elizabeth now manages the Ruby Holland Foundation.
Cindy McKee, a happily retired graphic designer has designed advertising, created magazines, developed logos and other printed collateral for a commercial printer, publishers and newspapers. An active member of the Brevard County, Florida art scene, she volunteered Monday evenings for eight years on the set of the cable production FOCUS, the Arts in Brevard, as the graphic designer for the on-screen graphics, then as the show’s host. Cindy enjoyed the involvement with other artists and exposure to many art forms. Simultaneously, she was a member of Eau Gallery, located in the Eau Gallie arts district. This multiple award-winning member of the Brevard Watercolor Society has served as the webmaster for the society and volunteered her graphic design skills to producing the program and posters for the annual Splash of Watercolor show. She is one of the founders of Art Oasis, a teaching art studio, in Satellite Beach.
Trilby Saldana is a Space Coast native, magic maker and artistic creator. This musician, singer-songwriter, professional photographer, dancer, and writer of poetry and journalism has taught more than 30 years. She has used her music, photography, writing, and dance for platforms of inspiration and healing for all ages. A successful serial entrepreneur, Trilby holds several certifications and has always focused on her own inner healing and light work that allows her to easily hold the space for others to speak the truth of their souls. Alton Williams is a philanthropist, author, historian and storyteller. He was one of the founders of the nonprofit organization Evergreen Cemetery, Inc., to ensure that those who had been laid to rest in the historic, hallowed grounds would forever be afforded the dignity and recognition they deserved. A focused and dedicated researcher, Alton has gathered oral and written history, public and private documentation and many photographs to support his first book, Sand Pines – History in a Shoe Box, which is the story of black history in Central Florida, the story of Alton’s birth family and his community.
